Asitane Studio is an independent Creative Film & Photography House based in Istanbul. With its distinctive visual language, high production standards, and free-spirited approach to making, the studio has carved out a unique space between film and photography.
When refreshing the visual identity, we worked closely with the Asitane team to return to the core of the brand its culture, character, and creative spirit. The aim was to build a more contemporary, flexible, and confident visual system without losing the independent and instinctive energy that defines Asitane.
At the heart of the identity are doodle-like calligraphic gestures, freehand drawings, and illustrations inspired by the emotions that shape Asitane’s world love, passion, and excitement. This spontaneous and organic visual language extends across different brand touchpoints, creating a living layer that can continuously evolve.
To create contrast with this expressive system and maintain clarity in communication, Aktiv Grotesk was introduced as the primary typeface. The result is a balanced tension between expressive visual elements and a more functional typographic structure.
The identity is designed not only to reflect Asitane’s character today, but also to grow with the studio over time: a flexible system that can expand, evolve, and open up new possibilities for what a production studio can look like.
